Houston Weather & Breakouts...

You will be the death of me!!

I haven't been updating mainly because I've been sick since freaking Christmas! Basically, the weather here doesn't want to stay one way. It's either really cold, or it feels like summer. Currently, it's been rainy and muggy.

I'm asthmatic so anytime the weather changes/seasons change, my alergies and asthma go beserk and I'm susceptible to colds and flus. I have a cold that I feel will never go away, plus I refuse to call out sick at work. Working at Starbucks can exhaust a person, a sick one at that. Damn you Starbucks, cold, and crazy weather! *shakes fist*

Lack of sleep and being stressed has also made my face break out. I have combination/sensitive skin so lately I've been sticking to this beauty regime.

CLEANSER:
Origins Checks and Balances frothy face wash (morning and evening)

SCRUB:
St. Ives Apricot Scrub (used three times a week)

MASK:
Origins Clear Improvement active charcoal mask (used twice a week)

EYE GEL:
Origins No Puffery cooling mask (morning and evening)

FACE CREAM:
L'Oreal Paris Dermo-Expertise Wrinkle Defense Advanced Wrinkle Corrector & Dermo-Smoother (morning and evening)

BLEMISH ACNE TREATMENT:
AcneFree Acne & Blackhead Terminator 10 Medicated Spot Treatment (evening, found @ Walgreens)

I hope this works. Anyone got some great tips for dealing with breakouts?

I'm also heading to bed...I have work in the morning and hope to feel somewhat better. I'll post pictures Friday, which is my next off day. Seriously!! (I found my camera, fixed it, and found my card for it). Hold me up to it, too. :)

what's your opinion of the Origins charcoal mask? I ordered it a few days ago so I'm curious as to whether or not it's really good.

Sometimes with breakouts, using gentler products can help get rid of pimples - if you scrub/use too many products at once to treat it, your skin overcompensates and produces more oil, which just leads to more breakouts...at least that's what happens to me. Burt's Bees Herbal Blemish stick works well to treat breakouts as they start to happen - very strong licorice smell and it may sting or turn your skin a little red, but it works great - I use it at night.

Hope you feel better soon!

So far, the mask has been working well on me. My breakouts have gotten smaller as well as my pores. It's a great thing since they're big due to genetics and having combination skin. Typically, my skin gets irritated when I use clay masks.

Ooh, I've been wanting to try the Burt's Bees Herbal Blemish stick! I'll have to find it first since it's been sold out at my local Walgreens. Thanks for the wishes, I started feeling better today!
